Summer is the harvesting period for honeysuckle. When the flowers first bloom, they are pure white. They turn yellow the next day and the aroma gradually disappears. Therefore, it is best to pick on the day they bloom.
Honeysuckle is also called honeysuckle. Honeysuckle is a semi-evergreen shrub with semi-rambling stems, oval leaves, and trumpet-shaped flowers. It blooms white when it first blooms, then gradually turns yellow, which is where the name "honeysuckle" comes from. Honeysuckle tea is a new type of health-care tea. The tea soup is aromatic, sweet and delicious, and sells well in domestic and foreign markets. Drinking this tea regularly has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying, stimulating menstruation and activating meridians, as well as skin care and beautification.
The efficacy of honeysuckle

It has certain inhibitory effects on a variety of pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Vibrio cholerae, Typhoid bacilli, Paratyphoid bacilli, etc.
2. It has antibacterial and bactericidal effects on pneumococci, Neisseria meningitidis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Shigella dysentery, Streptococcus mutans, etc., and has inhibitory effects on influenza viruses, orphan viruses, herpes viruses, and Leptospira. It has anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects. It has strong effects on carbuncles, intestinal abscesses and lung abscesses, dispersing carbuncles and reducing swelling, clearing away heat, detoxifying and anti-inflammatory.
3. It has the effect of dispersing heat and dispersing evil spirits. It has a certain effect on the symptoms of exogenous wind-heat or febrile disease at the beginning, such as body heat and headache, upset and insomnia, dizziness, dark tongue, dry throat and mouth. It has the effect of cooling blood and stopping dysentery. It has the effect of detoxifying, stopping dysentery, cooling blood and soothing the throat, for heat-toxic dysentery, dysentery with pus and blood, dampness and temperature blocking the throat, sore throat, etc.
4. In addition to its medicinal functions, honeysuckle has more magical effects on beauty, weight loss and health care. Its huge protection and repair effects on the body are very significant. The functions of honeysuckle include relieving heat, sobering up, clearing the brain, quenching thirst, removing toxic substances from the body, lowering fat, losing weight, beautifying and cleansing, preventing aging, and prolonging life.
The method of brewing honeysuckle tea is based on the principle of protecting the aroma from invalid loss and showing the unique beauty of the tea embryo.
For brewing honeysuckle tea with particularly delicate embryos, such as jasmine hair bee, jasmine silver halo, jasmine Dongfeng tea and other high-end famous teas, because the tea embryo itself has artistic appreciation value, it is advisable to use a transparent glass tea cup. When brewing, place the cup on the tea tray and take 23 grams of honeysuckle tea into the cup. Brew with boiling water slightly cooled to about 90°C, then put a lid on the cup to prevent the aroma from dissipating; hold the tea tray in your hand and face the light, observe the tea dancing up and down, sinking and floating in the water through the wall of the glass cup, and the changing process of the tea leaves slowly unfolding, restoring the leaf shape, and exuding the color of the tea juice. "A cup of small world, feelings of mountains, rivers, flowers and trees" can be called an artistic enjoyment, and is called "eyepiece".
When the tea soup is slightly cool and palatable, take a small sip, stay in your mouth for a while, and use the movements of inhaling through the mouth and exhaling through the nose to let the tea flow back and forth on the tongue once or twice to fully contact the taste buds. After tasting the tea flavor and the aroma of the soup, swallow it. Only by doing this once or twice can you taste the true fragrance of the precious honeysuckle tea. This taste is intoxicating, just as Fan Zhongyan, a Song Dynasty poet, said in his tea song, "The taste of tea is light and refreshing" and "The fragrance of tea is hidden in thin orchid." Comprehensive appreciation of the unique tea flavor and fragrance of honeysuckle tea is called "mouth tasting". There is a folk saying that "one sip is for drinking, three sips is for tasting". Only by sipping carefully can the taste be revealed. After the tea is boiled, add boiling water until one-third of the soup has been boiled. If you drink it for three times, the tea taste will be weak, so don’t drink it any more. Through the nose and mouth tasting of Sankai tea soup, after comprehensively appreciating the palatability of the tea flavor and the freshness, concentration and purity of the aroma, those with three aromas are called "full aroma", and those with perfect tea shape, taste and aroma are high-grade, famous and treasured honeysuckle tea.
To drink mid-range honeysuckle tea, the tea embryo shape is not emphasized. The cup can be covered with white porcelain. After brewing with 100℃ boiling water, cover the cup and wait for 5 minutes to smell the aroma and taste the tea. This type of honeysuckle tea has a fragrant aroma, a mellow tea taste, a tea flavor in the third part, and is resistant to brewing.
To brew medium and low-grade honeysuckle tea, or honeysuckle tea powder, which is called "high tea powder" in the north, white porcelain teapots are generally used. Because there is more water in the pot, the heat preservation is better than that of the cup, which is conducive to fully brewing the tea flavor. Depending on the size of the teapot, the number of tea drinkers, and the intensity of the taste, put an appropriate amount of tea into the pot, pour it into the pot with 100°C initial boiling water, cover it, wait for 5 minutes, and then drink it in the tea cup. This method of sharing tea and drinking together is convenient and hygienic on the one hand, and on the other hand, it can bring family reunions, or friends and relatives can sit around, drink tea, and talk about home affairs, which is more harmonious and adds to the atmosphere of unity, friendship, and harmony.
The stems, leaves and flowers of honeysuckle can be used as medicine and have detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, bactericidal, diuretic and antipruritic effects. Honeysuckle dew is a good product for preventing and treating prickly heat and abscesses in children in summer. Fresh honeysuckle has a delicate fragrance and contains more nectar. Rural children often use the flowers to suck the nectar. The flower stems are dried in the sun or dried according to the method of making green tea, which is honeysuckle tea.
There are two types of honeysuckle tea in the market. One is honeysuckle tea made by mixing fresh honeysuckle and a small amount of green tea, and is made according to the honeysuckle tea scenting process; the other is made by mixing dried or sun-dried honeysuckle with green tea. Of these two kinds of honeysuckle tea, the former has a floral fragrance and is mainly used for appreciating the fragrance of flowers; the latter has a lower tea fragrance, but can maintain the medicinal effects of honeysuckle without losing its health care effects. Honeysuckle tea is a health drink suitable for all ages, especially in summer.
