At 1:30 a.m. on the 5th, Rong Jiasheng, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award in China’s tea industry and the second-generation descendant of Rong’s tea-making skills, passed away due to ineffective treatment at the age of 74. He has been awarded the honorary titles of "Thirty Chinese Pioneers of Agriculture, Rural Areas and Rural Affairs Who Influenced China's Rural Reform" in the past 30 years of reform and opening up, and the Top Ten Economic Figures of the Year in China's Tea Industry in 2010. On the same day, Rong Jiasheng’s family issued an obituary saying, “My father Rong Jiasheng died at home at 1:30 a.m. on March 5, 2020 (the 12th day of the second lunar month) due to ineffective treatment. He was 74 years old. The funeral was held at 7:50 a.m. on March 6, 2020 (the 13th day of the second lunar month)...”
