Spring is warm and the flowers are blooming, let’s make an appointment to pick tea!
The fragrance of spring tea is here again. In the second month of the lunar calendar, the tea leaves in Jingdong Tea Mountain are sprouting, and the early spring tea can be picked one after another. At this time, the more than 200,000 acres of tea gardens in Jingdong County were green and full of tea pickers, creating a lively and busy scene. Jingdong is the center of the core area of the origin of Pu'er tea. There are two national nature reserves in Wuliang Mountain and Ailao Mountain. The territory has undulating mountains, crisscrossing rivers, a mild climate, verdant tea forests, and excellent biological resource endowments. The Pu'er tea raw materials produced are of superior quality, with fat buds and tender leaves. It has the advantages of fragrance, mellowness, resistance to brewing, and no pollution. The sunshine in spring is shining, the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing, tea farmers are dyeing the fragrance of tea, and folk songs are wafting in the tea gardens. The hard-working people have achieved the gorgeous turn of the best spring tea of the year... Jingdong County has a long history of tea planting. The existing tea garden area is 234,800 acres, covering 157 villages in 13 towns in the county, with 54,000 tea-related farmers and a population of 230,000. There are 7,027 registered poor households in the county growing tea, with a tea plantation area of 27,010 acres, producing about 1,149.4 tons of tea, tea income of more than 20 million yuan, and an average household income of nearly 3,000 yuan. The advantages of the tea industry in the county's agricultural industrialization and industrial poverty alleviation are increasingly prominent. It is an important economic source for the majority of registered poor households to get rid of poverty and increase their income. It is also the backbone economic industry of some mountainous villages and towns. The launch of spring tea, especially the first spring tea, has attracted tea merchants from all over the country to come together to celebrate the spring tea feast.
