The hidden Pu'er Tea Mountain - Weidong
When it comes to Pu'er Tea Mountain Weidong, many tea lovers are unfamiliar with it, but if I talk about Brown Mountain, tea lovers will not be unfamiliar with it. Brown Mountain is a famous Pu'er tea producing area and one of the areas with the most preserved ancient tea gardens. The Bulang people are descendants of Bai Pu. They have lived in Brown Mountain for generations and are the earliest people in the world to cultivate, make and drink tea. Wherever the Brown people live, there will be tea.

Weidong Village in Brown Mountain was moved from Lao Banzhang Village about 180 years ago. The local villagers in Brown Mountain have a habit. When the population of the village slowly increases and reaches a certain number and the land is not enough, some people will go to other places to cultivate land and divide it into other villages, or like the current Xinzhai and Lao Village, they are like Xin Banzhang.
However, Weidong is not a village of the Bulang ethnic group, but a Hani ethnic village affiliated to the Menangang Village Committee of Brownshan Township. It is located along the Damenglong-Bangshan Highway and the Xishuangbanna Tourism West Ring Road. It has convenient highway transportation and is about a 2-hour drive from Jinghong City. Weidong is adjacent to Bulong State Nature Reserve and has beautiful and unique tropical rainforest natural scenery. It has mountains on its back and water on its back, a broad view, and excellent atmosphere, surface water, and soil quality. The ecological environment of the tropical rain forest is well protected, especially the unique landscape of the "Baizhang Cliff" forest waterfall. Among the tourist attractions in Xishuangbanna, it has a very unique and attractive ecological environment, unique climate and soil conditions, which have given birth to unique Pu'er tea.

In Weidong, the area of the houses of every household is the same. The management of Weidong ancient tea trees has its own characteristics and strict management standard system. Weidong has a high degree of villager autonomy. The ancient tea trees belong to the entire village and are the common wealth of everyone. They will be redistributed every time. This is a major feature that distinguishes Weidong from other places.
